Convert EU format number to US format number

I would like to input 12.348,55 and get output as 12,349.55. Basically converting EU to US format. The action "Format Number" doesn’t like the input number and throws “Enter a valid number”. How do I deal with this? Do we have other ways to deal with this?

    Hi @RameshMukka  @Anonymous ,

In the 'Format' input field, please could you click on the dropdown and click 'Enter custom value'. Then paste this:

    ###,###,###.0

and let me know if it solves the issue?

If it does, please mark it as a solution for future forum visitors 😊

What if i have a list of values with EU and US format, how can i apply in the flow that the US ones should be skipped and only the EU formats to be formatted

I had to deal with this a year or two ago and my eventual solution (extremely inelegant, but it worked) was to iterate the values and for each one:

    1. convert value to string
    2. Use lastIndexOf function to search to find the last position of comma and period characters
    3. If the comma value > period value, then it's a European number, else US number and convert accordingly

Not a great solution, but it worked. I would love for something better to be out there

Thanks Barret, can you perhaps send a screenshot of the workflow with the expressions? I just started with power automate

I don't have the flows anymore. They were for a client I no longer work with.
