Adaptive Card payload too large

Hi all

I have built a Power Automate flow, that grabs some data from Dynamics365 (a list of projects), and posts an adaptive card to teams asking for a user response.

The problem is, when I offered 1 input field, it worked fine, however I need to offer at least 3. When I have tried to do this, it fails testing because the payload is too large (The request failed. Response content: '{"error":"The payload is too large. Please make sure the size is less than 28KB."}'.)

I have removed all whitespace, however the problem is clearly that I have multiple projects being passed into the choices field.

Is there anything I can do? This seems like a very low data limit, I am not passing any image files or anything, simply a list of about 100 projects.

Adaptive card message below. thanks 🙂

I know that this is an older question but it's one that's unanswered so I wanted to provide a solution. This solution assumes that if you're using an image, that it's not eating up all your 28KB.

The thing about the JSON content is that every space is counted toward your max file size. The options you have are to remove some or all of the whitespace. I use https://codebeautify.org/jsonviewer Unfortunately, you can't have dynamic values in your JSON as it won't do transformations on invalid JSON. You could do something similar in Notepad ++ by using Find/Replace of a Tab with nothing to avoid the dynamic value issue but it'll remove all of them unless you replace one by one through the whole thing.

Paste your JSON on the left, and in the middle section choose '1 Tab Spacing'. To remove even more whitespace, you can use the 'Minify' button instead of altering the tab spacing.
