Date Formatting of 1/10/2023 12:00:00 AM

I have a list of dates in a Share point site, two of which are 1/09/2023 12:00:00 AM & 1/10/2023 12:00:00 AM. When formatting these dates as header labels as mmm-yy, PowerApps is treating both as Sep-23.

Would anyone know why this is the case, or how to resolve without adjusting the timestamp..

Hi @GFO_7,

Are you formatting your dates in Sharepoint or in Apps ?
If you format in Sharepoint, try to do it in Apps instead with this formula Text(MyDate, "mmm-yy")

What's the data type of your SharePoint column? Is it actually a date column (as opposed to a text column)?

The column is defined as Date/Time.

Hi @GFO_7

What I'd suggest to diagnose this problem is that you show the unformatted date in the header to verify that the time element is displaying correctly. Power Apps will adjust time to match the region so this can impact the date.

Also, I'm not sure if you're in the US/Europe so I'm not sure what your expected date format is. Can you clarify this?

Thanks for the reply...in Australia. Will try your suggestion, but am thinking any adjustment would impact all months, whereas I have 1-Sep-2023 12:00:00 AM showing Sep-23, and 1-Oct-2023 12:00:00AM also showing as Sep-23.
