How to set DOB date field value using JS code in Portal

Hi Experts,

I have added a DOB date field of Contact Entity in Profile page form and once the user registers themself then I am capturing the DOB from Registration Page but not able to set that to DOB field in Profile page Entity form.

How can I set the value of the DOB date field using JS code? Could You please help me with this?

$(document).ready(function(){

	var globalid = localStorage.getItem("globalid");
	var dob = localStorage.getItem("dob");

	if(globalid && dob )
	{
		
		$('#cre08_globalid').val(globalid);
		$('#birthdate_datepicker_description').val(dob); //this is a date field
		localStorage.clear();
	}
});

I can see the date to be added to the DOB field but once I click on Update then it is not updated to my entity.

Hi @Anonymous ,

birthdate_datepicker_description field is not a real input field. It is used for visualization only. The field that you need to update has id birthdate and it is a classic datetime field (see attached).
