SharePoint Integration : Open in Office Online instead of downloading the document

Hi All,

I did the SharePoint integration configuration. So I can upload Office Documents in my portal, and it's working fine.

Unfortulatelly, when I click on the link of a document, the document is downloded. How is it possible to open the document in Office Online instead ?

Il works well when I use the form in CDS, but not in the Portal.

Very frustrating ...

many thanks in advance.

Gilles

    Hi Gilles,

Opening in Office Online is only supported in SharePoint and in OneDrive. Since the PowerApps portal is handling the request it will only open to the options available to PowerApps Portal.

    Regards,

    Alex

thanks Alex for your reply 🙂

When I'm browsing the same files from de CDS Forms, the links to the documents open Office Online.

That's why I thought it would be the same in the portal.

Do you think it's in the roadmap ?

    Thanks

    Gilles

    Hi Gilles,

CDS Forms is pulling the file directly from the database so its probably inheriting your organizations preferences on how to handle this files. I dont see anything in our roadmap on this so this might be a good thing to bring up in our ideas form. https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Ideas/ct-p/PA_Comm_Ideas
