Can't Patch a new item to SharePoint list - Additional Lookup fields are required

Hello everyone.

After searching online and failing to solve my problem, I come here to ask your help!

I have this SharePoint list, named "Interlocutores x Diagnósticos":

It has an "Interlocutor" column of type Lookup, getting one field of another list ("Interlocutores"), and an "Interlocutor: Email" as an additional field from the "Interlocutor" Lookup column, which represents another field of said list ("Interlocutores").

In my canvas app, I am trying to Patch a new item to this list "Interlocutores x Diagnósticos". My button has this function:

Patch(
 'Interlocutores x Diagnósticos',
 VarInterlocutorDiagnostico,
 {
 Diagnóstico: {
 Id: VarDiagnosticoAux.ID,
 Value: VarDiagnosticoAux.Chave
 },
 Interlocutor: DataCardValue7_1.Selected,
 'Convite Enviado': false
 }
);

The variable "VarInterlocutorDiagnostico" comes as Defaults('Interlocutores x Diagnósticos').

The problem is, when I press the button, the app gives an error saying the field "Interlocutor: Email" is required. The same happens to the additional lookup column "Diagnóstico: ID" - app treats it as required.

Am I doing something wrong? Or do I really have to set all the additional lookup fields?

I was expecting it would be enough to set the main lookup field, and PowerApps or SharePoint would fill out the additional fields.

For information, I am avoiding using a Form because I want to display more info from the lookup lists. When I use a Form, I am limited to showing the Choices of each field and they don't contain all the data I want.

    Hi,

    If the columns are set as mandatory in your sharepoint list, then while patching it will give you error if the mandatory columns values are not filled in/ set as blank.

    Although your answer is logical, I would expect the Patch function to require only the main lookup field.
    I think it's something for the PowerApps team to consider.

    Anyway, I think I fixed it by deleting the additional lookup fields, turning the main lookup field optional (not required), then adding the other fields back again, and finally setting the main field as required. This way, the additional fields are there but not required anymore, and my Patch function doesn't give me the error.
