"Bot not installed" error in Teams connector

Hi,

I'm having issues with the Teams connector after importing a solution to a new environment. Solution contains a PVA chatbot and flows that post adaptive cards to a bot chat in Teams. Bot has only Teams channel enabled. Once the solution is successfully imported to a target environment, the flows that have Teams connectors start to fail with an error 'Bot hasn't been installed for user'. The only fix I found for this is to uninstall the bot app in Teams and reinstall it but that is not something we can ask our users to do every time we update the bot or flows.

Has anyone experienced this issue before?

    Hi @inzil2k

A possible solution would be to check the app ID and tenant ID of the bot in the target environment and update the connectors in your solution to use the correct values. Also, check the bot configuration and make sure the bot is configured correctly for the target environment.

It's also possible that you are facing a permission issue, you should check that you have the correct permissions for the bot in the target environment, including bot permissions and connector permissions.

It is also important to check logs and trace the error, in order to have a more specific diagnosis.

It's worth noting that these kind of issues can be caused by different factors, and it's important to check the specifics of your case to find a more specific solution.

I noticed that this only happens with managed solutions. If importing an unmanaged solution to a target environment, the teams connector continues to work fine.

There is imported chatbot data in Dataverse that's identical between environments but when checking PVA web console, the bot app ID is different in the target env.  I'll continue to investigate this and will update if I find a solution
