89This might be outside what Powerapps can do, but I currently have a gallery with many records. You can apply filters or search keywords in the records. The filters work by having a dropdown box with all the unique values for "Type" found in the SharePoint datasource. When the app first boots up, all the records are stored in "GalleryCache" collection (and this is displayed in gallery1), and all of the unique "Type" values found in a certain column are collected and used for the dropdown filter options. When the user clicks on the dropdown, they see all the "Type" values to filter through.
On another page, I show the metrics of the records in a gallery that makes it look like a horizontal bar graph. The bar graph is set up similar to this: https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/How-to-create-a-horizontal-column-chart-Tutorial/td-p/149488
So for example, there's a bar graph that organizes all of the records by the "Type" value that they have.
I was wondering if there was a way for users to Click on a rectangle, then it navigates them over to the first gallery with the filter already applied? For example, I display the "Type" metrics horizontal graph. "Alpha" has 15 records to it. I click on it, and I would want it to navigate me over to the first gallery with the Type dropdown pre-selected to "Alpha". Is there a way to do this?
Whenever I try to use a global variable to set the value of the dropdown list to the selected value from the metrics graph and then also make the dropdown have this default value, it says they are incompatible data types.
