Hopefully easy question.
Is it possible to use a filter function in the "Datasource" property of the "experimental entity form" to filter a custom CDS entity please?
I get the following error : "Only Common Data Service Entities are supported as a data source"

Yes, it is possible to use filter function in the Datasource Property of the entity form control.
So the issue here should be related with the formula you used in the filter:
IndirectPartner_ID.PartnerID = "Test"
Is it a Lookup filed?
For lookup field, it seems currently this data type is not supported delegation when using the filter function under Common Data Service:
