Month Name 'text' changes inside PowerApps

Hi team,

Have developed a PowerApps which capture User input(s) on certain aspects. Along with User Input, we capture “Month Year” when Input(s) submitted.

Example – Month name text for few inputs is – “Mai 2022” or “mai 2022” or “May 2022”

‘Month – Year’ is a ‘text’ data type column in SP list and ‘$en-GB’ is set as Content language

However, it should be consistent for every input submitted i.e “May 2022”

I set language option of ‘en-GB’ to however, still Month name text changes.

Can you help me understand what is the reason and how can I fix the Month Year text Format?

This is likely due to the language setting of the device that is submitting it, where there can be multiple places language and region are set.

If you want consistency with the naming you should instead implement a formula like this for the value that is saved:

Switch(Month( Today() ), 1, "January", 2, "February", 3 ,"March", 4, "April", 5, "May", 6, "June", 7 ,"July", 8, "August", 9, "September", 10, "October", 11, "November", 12, "December") & " " & Year( Today() )
