Hello all,

I am creating a Microsoft Form for a basic request template that can only be accessed by users from my tenant. Is it possible to create a flow that sends the email dynamically as the user who is logged in to fill out the form?

That helps point me in the right direction, so thank you for that. I appreciate all the quick responses.

If you need to have the user specify one or more e-mail addresses from your tenant, then I would switch to using a Microsoft Lists or a SharePoint list form. You don't have the same capabilities for branching and SharePoint lists don't have some of the question types as MS Forms, but it has the people field which you seem to require that MS Forms does not.

Here is the context of what I am trying to do. I have a simple form that is capturing details and send it to a specific email address. I want the person filling out the form to be the From address when I use Power Automate to construct and send the email. It is a bunch of users so a selection choice is not a good option. I am just trying to eliminate input errors since I have other flows that are dependent on the From being correct. Maybe I am on the wrong path and there is an easier way.

    Hi,

You can make the question a drop down and that will eliminate errors.

@SD-14102137-0 what do you mean by having the form autofill from your AD? Are you referring to getting the e-mail address of the person submitting the form? If so, and you have limited the form to only being filled out by users in your tenant, as long as you have enabled record name, the e-mail address of the submitter will be recorded with the response.

If you want to add a question to get the e-mail address of someone else in your tenant, that may be possible if you are sending a link to people to request them to fill out the form and you know who should be populated in the field when you send them the link. Otherwise, it is not possible.

That is what I found but I was hoping I was missing something. Is there a way to have the Form autofill from my AD to select an email rather than just use text with the Email restriction? I am just trying to prevent user error as much as possible.

    Hi,

Not directly because you would need to have access and control of their 365 account and it typically a breach of security.  There's a workaround.

You can use a service account in conjunction with a no-reply email address and send the email to the person submitting the form.  From there, they can forward to anyone they want and it will appear from them.
