CountRows() giving an error: The Data returned by service is invalid.

Hi All,

I imported the excel data into one of my CDS entities. I verified I am the System Admin. I have verified that the Enhanced Delegate for CDS setting is set to 'ON' on my Canvas app advanced settings.

I just added a label to a blank Canvas app and connected to the entity in question and on the label1.text, I have it as 'CountRows('[name of the entity]') within single quotes. But I still get the above error I have indicated in the Subject line.

Can you please let me know what I am doing wrong? I am doing all this, because I have no other way to verify if all 68.000 rows from that Excel file did get ported over into that entity. If there is any other way I can do a count check, please let me know that as well.

I think even if you figure out the issue COUNTROWS is not delegation-friendly. It can only count 2,000 rows, far fewer from the 68,000 rows you are inserting.

My advice would be to head on over the the Flow forums and ask how to batch upload values from a spreadsheet there. There is no such limitation in Flow.

I shall do that! Thanks much, @mdevaney ! I will mark this as Answer, as it suddenly opened my way of thinking a few things within PowerApps. I am very new to it and so, this helped.
