Radio button to load form data for view?

Hi All,

I usually use a gallery to load SP data and then set a form next to it with the properties of the form as:

  • Data source = SP list
  • Item = gallery.selected.

This allows the users to view the data submissions.

I am trying to do the same thing but replace the gallery with a radio selection (linking the radio to the year column of the SP list).

However, the for is not recognising the radio control. I feel like this is a simple issue I am overlooking.

Thoughts?

Cheers,

DW

What is in your OnSelect Property for the radio button? and what is in the Items property on the form?

    @TBitly

    OnSelect for radio is:

    Filter(SPList,Department.Value = TextInput.Text)

    This works fine.

    Items of Form:

    Radio.Selected

This does not work. Neither does Radio.Selected.Value

So Radio.Selected returns boolean true false and doesn't return a record.. The formula in OnSelect is returning a record and that is what you would put in the Items property on the form.. but you can also do this..

On OnSelect property of the Radio btn store the filtered data into a variable or a collection..

    Set(varRecord,Filter(SPList,Department.Value = TextInput.Text))

now, on Items property, pass in Last(varRecord) ..

If there are multiple radio buttons, then onSelect, filter based on what you need but keep the variable name the same..

If there are issues, please share some screenshots..

    Thanks 🙂

@TBitly ok thank you! I will just stick to a gallery. Easier and less hassle for the simple nature of what the team need 🙂
