Hi all, I built an app that allows everyone in a country to submit overtime for managers' approval. In the past few months it was working fine, but recently the following problems started to appear, even though no changes were published:
1. Employees can submit data to Sharepoint, managers can see their data, but hitting the approve button doesn't change the record in Sharepoint
2. Employees can submit data to Sharepoint, managers can't see their data in the app
3. Employee hits the submit button, but his records are not recorded to Sharepoint
Logic of the app:
App initializes a collection as a form. Employee fills in the form, the form records the collection's data and saves to Sharepoint, then send the email to the manager.
Add new records button
abc is the gallery collection (form), overtime is the backend collection.
Miroslav Lai is me, so that I don't send email to my manager.
Submit button
Ind_OT is the Sharepoint list, overtime is the backend data inside the app.
Manager comes to the app, app downloads Sharepoint's list and filters it to their employees' data to a collection, then check their employees' submission, then approve them. Clicking the check mark/cross will directly modify the record on Sharepoint. After they've modified the records, they can hit the finish button, which send an email to all employees on the list.
Approve button
Employees and managers go to the app to check the related records. Employees see their own records, managers see their employees' records.
Check record button
I think I should add that the record number is well over the 500 limit. However, there is no delegation warning.
The Sharepoint list's permission setting is "everyone in the country" has contribute access, as is the app where everyone is a user, so I think permission shouldn't be an issue.
The same employees and managers have successfully submitted and approved records before. No changes were made to the app before the problems occurred.
Please help if you have idea!
