Patching Radio and Dropdown controls to a different SharePoint List

I have a Dropdown control populated from a SharePoint List column. I cant seem to figure out a way to patch this control to a different SharePoint List.

Secondly, I also have a couple of Radio controls, I am unable to patch to the same list above.  Both columns are set to "Single line of text" on SharePoint. I have seen some solutions introducing IDs and I find that a little confusing ? Can you help?

    Have you tried an edit form?  Even if you are going to use a patch, the Update properties and the controls should give you a hint about the syntax.

    Thank you Drrickryp.  I have 3 edit forms on my screen,  I have been able to patch some of the fields but having difficulties patching the dropdown and the radio controls. Apparently the issue is with the syntax like you mentioned. I have attached a screenshot of what my screen looks like.
