Combo box not writing foreign key to sharepoint list when submitted

In a new form there is a combo box. The items field of the combo box references the parent table and displays a text field. The data card references the foreign key field in the child table. The update property of the data card is set to "ComboBox.Selected". No errors are shown in any properties. When submitting the form, it does not write the primary key of the parent table to the child table's foreign key field.

PLEASE HELP!!!

I assume you are working with a Lookup column?

If so, try changing your Update property to the following formula:

{ '@odata.type':"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedReference", Id: ComboBox.Selected.ID, Value: ComboBox.Selected.Value }

Also, depending on how you set up your lookup column, the .Value above might need to change to whatever you have as the primary display value for the column in SharePoint.

If the assumption above is not correct, post back with more detail.

Thanks so much. I've been working on this for many hours. FYI, the "ComboBox.Selected.Value" had an error. I removed it, submitted the form, and it worked perfectly. You're the man!
