Hello together!

I need helping understand the "Recently used records"-Feature for Lookup-Fields in model-driven apps. My question is under what circumstances is a record shown in the "Recently used records"-list on a LookUp-Field. For me it looks like a record has to be

- opened in a form or

- edited

to be later shown in the "Recently used records"-list.

I hoped/thought, it would also show up in this list, if the record was "recently" used to create a new record with it. But this is not what I am expierencing.

In my case users create a new record where they have to select resource category in a lookup field. Every users has it own 3-4 resoucre categories from a list of 20 they use 90% of the time. It looks like, since the users do not open or edit the recource categories they do not show up in this "Recently used records".

So If some could help define me what "recently used" means, that would be really helpful.
