    Use the Find action of "Find and replace cells in Excel Worksheet" and do what the vlookup is doing.

    ie; Search the required value. If found get the value next to it.

    vlookup always looks for some value and gets another value.

    so which value needs to be lookedup and what should be returned?

    Also how does the vlookup formula look like?

    For this part, vlookup is not necessary yet. So what i need is for all the inputs by AL numbers to be written into the report to HR worksheet starting from row 7. so the formula for the first cell, b7, in report to hr is ='Inputs by AL'!B7

     

    How can i write all the values in with the formula?

    If you want to avoid formulas then can you do a copy paste from AL sheet to HR sheet for all those rows using PAD actions?
