Distinct Gallery Select Criteria to go to another gallery

Hi there

I'm hoping someone can help please

I have a distinct list of names in a gallery, integrated from Power BI.

Distinct Gallery

From this distinct employee name list I select an employee and then I want to go to an additional Gallery  where there is a multitude of information relating to this person and from there go to the form (forms arent an issue)

My distinct gallery has the following in ITEMS

Distinct(Sort(Search(PowerBIIntegration.Data,SearchBox_2.Text,"FullName"),FullName),FullName)

With only the name showing of the employee

The problem I am having is going from the distinct to the next gallery. I cant seem to get it to link together

Gallery 2

Items = Gallery1.Selected

But it will only allow me to show the employee name selected from the first gallery, not additional details like start date, email, Job ID.  It auto changes the text property to ThisItem.Result and I cant select any other fields

Im hoping you're understanding the issue and could possibly help me please.

Thank you

Karen

hey! You need to create a collection to save the emplooyes you select. And, in the second gallery you show the new collection.

So, you have a checkbox an on check -> Collect (myCol; ThisItem)

    On uncheck _> ClearCollect(myCol; ThisItem)

    On gallery2, show myCol

    Hi @KarenF ,

If you use Distinct it will only consider the Distinct column name which you provide and all other column will be removed from the control's mapping.

Is there any column in the second gallery where employee name is there ?

If so you can add a Filter query in the items of the second gallery like mentioned below.

    Filter(YourDataSoruceName,YouEmployeeNameColumn = Gallery1.Selected.Result)

Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.
