I have an issue with an app i am trying to build.

 

There are 5 states, which are referred to as Intensity 0 all the way through to Intensity 4.

Each Intensity has a specific colour fill.

 

Intensity 0 - white

Intensity 1 - Blue

Intensity 2 - Green

Intensity 3 - Yellow

Intensity 4 - Red

 

The basic premise is that you select one of these Intensities (0~4)  and then drop whatever Intensity you have selected on a 15x36 grid, thus creating a pattern.

 

So, one click on the intensity to select it and then click away on the grid to drop the selected intensity to create a pattern

    Just judging by the slight unevenness in grid square sizes below would I be correct in assuming that your grid is comprised of like 540 individual controls? (This is not a good idea btw see Powerapps Optimization ) But if that IS what I am looking at and how you want it to be done, you can just give each of those grids the fill color of a variable let's say square1Var and when you click on a intensiry it sets fillerholdVar(RGBA(255,0,0,1)) then when you click on a square it sets(square1Var,fillerholdVar) then your fill color for square will match your click

    You are spot on, and yeah, reading up on it that is not a good way at all to set it up. 

    I'll have ago at setting it up as a horizontal gallery.
