No Access to Environment despite granted Security Roles

Hi Guys,

after hours of research and trial & error I have no further idea how to deal with my issue.

Background:

We are developing a Model Driven App (MDA) with a 3-Environment-Staging (Dev/Test/Prod) approach deployed via Power Platform Pipelines.

Issue:

Despite Custom Security Roles  (copied from Microsofts "Dataverse Minimum Privilege Secuity Role" Solution), Owner-Team Membership (all Environments) for designated Users, the Environments do not appear for the Users unless I assign them stronger rules like System-Customizer. Users are also enabled on each Environment, according to PP Admin-Center.

Shouldn't it be possible to grant users access to Environments with custom security roles only? Addind the "Basic User" role doesn't work either.

What am I missing here?

Thanks a lot for your time and support.

Cheers,

Arne

    Hi @han-arne,

In order to see the Environments in the maker portal, they will need the System Customizer, environment Maker, or system administrator role.

    Hi @ChrisPiasecki ,

Thank you very much for fast replying to my request.

I thought the "Basic User" role would do the trick here (according to MS documentation).

If it only way works with more powerful roles we need to accept that and make users aware of it.

    Have a nice weekend.

    Cheers,

    Arne
