Hello, I try to add author email into powerapps form, but it does not work. Please, could you advise, what is wrong? ( see screenshot attached)
@Anonymous Can you please describe the issue? I do not see any error messages.
Hi @Anonymous ,
try the below code if the data card is a people picker:
{ '@odata.type':"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedUser", Claims:Concatenate("i:0#.f|membership|",ThisItem.<<yourfiledName>>.Email), DisplayName:ThisItem.<<yourfiledName>>.FullName, Email:ThisItem.<<yourfiledName>>.Email }
I hope this resolved your issue if you see any challenge/need further help please let me know I am always happy to do it for my community.Regards,KrishnaIf this post helps you give a 👍 and if it solved your issue consider Accept it as the solution to help the other members find it more.
The problem is that I try to use this Email. field further for the filters. As filters did not work, I made this field visible in the form and see it is kept empty for the created SP items, when I open form in the Edit or View mode
@Anonymous ,
did you try my solution?
Do you want to set the email field's default value?Could you tell me:1)the email field data type?
2)the control that you use to display email field? the settings of this control?
3)what does "author email" represent? current user's email?
4)the form's Item?
I believe that you did not use right formula, so the email field display blank by default.
Best regards,
