How to refresh a folder through PAD?

Hi,

I am replacing the word doc to pdf and need to refresh before to get all the files in the particular. Without refresh, the folder is not updated and thus get files in folder could not able to get the replaced pdf file. I tried python script to refresh but it is not working.

Any ideas on how to refresh a particular folder? Please help.

It is probably not a refresh thing as much as "Get Files" is running before the PDF is ever made. Even though it only takes a second for the PDF to save, "Get Files" has already ran.

Use "Wait for file to be created" before "Get Files"

Yes but I need to take only part of the file name and use the "Wait for file to be created" since the version gets changing at the end of the file. So, I cannot mention the whole file name. And the file name has space in-between so cannot give it like ABC*.pdf. Any ideas?

Are you currently in a loop? If so, you probably have the filename set to a variable somewhere. You can put the variable in "Wait for file to be created." That way, this command changes for each file.

If not, look at this:

Files 2 will get compared to Files 1. If this is working right, there should only be 1 extra file.

If Files2 = Files1, then the command Set Variable %ListDifference[1]% will result in an error, sending it back to Get Files2 again. So, this will loop until the file lists are different, and you can continue on.
