Hi all,
I have a button in Powerapps Screen, when I click that button, it should redirect to the SP List New Form.
for that I am using the below formula in the OnSelect event of the Button. in my case it's opening in the new tab but I want to open it in the same window. is there any solution to open it in the same window?
Launch("https://TestEnv.Sharepoint.com/sites/TestSite/Lists/TargetList/NewForm.aspx?Source=https://TestEnv.Sharepoint.com/sites/TestSite/Lists/SourceList/DispForm.aspx?ID=1)
Thanks in Advance!
Please see the Launch Document.
If you would like to launch that URL in the same tab in your browser(replace the Power App tab) if would look like this:
Launch("Your Sharepoint URL", {}, LaunchTarget.Replace)
@Anonymous
You can do it like this.
Launch("https://TestEnv.Sharepoint.com/sites/TestSite/Lists/TargetList/NewForm.aspx?", {Source: "https://TestEnv.Sharepoint.com/sites/TestSite/Lists/SourceList/DispForm.aspx", ID: 1}, LaunchTarget.Self)

Hi Dylan,
After changing the Launch Target to Replace, when i click the button nothing happens
@Anonymous, it will not work in the PowerApp studio. Once you publish the app it will work as expected.
Hi Dylon,
I am using powerapps in Web, After Publishing it also, nothing happens. any clue?
Agreed. Publish the app and open the app in Play Mode.
Open the app in Play Mode. Close Power Apps Studio.
Hi @mdevaney , @DylanSimons
I found the below link, in that they mentioned LaunchTarget. Replace is in Development, so it will not work. Is it True?
https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/LaunchTarget-Replace-not-working-on-Desktop-Teams/td-p/688430
@Anonymous, unfortunately it is true: the note is in those documents linked above:
The LaunchTarget argument is currently in Preview and will be released in all regions soon. For more details about preview features, go to Understand experimental, preview, and deprecated features in Power Apps.
You can check to make sure your Preview Features are turned on if you go to File > Settings > Advanced Settings > Preview Features.
Aside from that, I do not see any way to make this work until Microsoft fully releases this feature.

Any updates to this problem? I'm back a year later and my PowerApp button still opens in a different tab. I am hearing it may be because I am uploading the PowerApp to SharePoint.
