Flow Variables Meaning

I am working on a flow that estimates the amount of concrete cost for a day. It is working well however I have a few questions:

  1. The “Approved Variable” is a “yes” or “no” option – is putting it as an Integer with a value of 0 (and that changes to 1) correct or should I really choose a boolean/string?
  2. What exactly does the “top count” represent and what can its limit be - I have put 10,000 as an arbitary number & it is working now, but unsure about this limit
  3. TOP COUNT FLOW.JPG

Thank you so much

    Hi @ J_Hazel,

Could you please share a full screenshot of the configuration of your flow?

For your first question, you could choose the varible be a boolean/string/Interger type according to your requirement.

If you would like to get a “yes” or “no” type varible, you could choose the boolean type.

If you would like to get a such as “a” or “b” type varible, you could choose the string type.

If you would like to get a such as “0” or “1” type varible, you could choose the  Interger type.

For your second question, the "Top account" field in the sharepoint "get items" action means the top output item value of the "get items" action.

However, the sharepoint "get items" action have a "5000" items limit,if the list has more than 5000 items, you could only get "5000" items from the "get items" action even though you have fill "10000" in the "Top account" field.

Please let me know if your problem could be solved.

    Regards,
    Alice Zhang

    Hi @v-yuazh-msft

Thank you clearing up the meaning of these flow variables.

I believe integer type is the correct requirement & I was able to fix up my flow.

    Kind regards
