Automated personalised email content only showing shapes

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by 76

Hi,

I've programmed a Forms to Excel flow with email sending from a shared inbox as part of an internal service I help to run at my work.

Everything else seems to run perfectly, but when the automated personalised emails come through, it's just gibberish: Shapes, icons and nothing that makes much sense. (see pics)

Anyone have a solution to what's going on here?😀

    Hey @SamuelBastable

    Are you including Image in you email body? If yes

    <img src="data&colon;image/jpeg;base64,<your_column>" alt="My Image" />

    also change the Email body to support HTML by clicking  “</>” at top right corner of the action which converts body in html.

    The coding for my image insertion value seems different to what you stated:

    <img src="data&colon;image/jpeg;base64," alt="IO logo" />

    I've used the one above numerous times before on the old designer, so not sure why it won't work this time.

    It's using the exact same source image on the exact same site as the 'file content'.

    I tried switching to the HTML version using that button you mentioned, but after amending formatting it again in that mode and then saving............it flips it back to the previous 'body' version.

    @SamuelBastable Maybe you should try adding base64(<filecontent>)

     <img src="data&colon;image/jpeg;base64, base64(<filecontent>)" alt="IO logo" />

    Also Power Automate forum changed the encoding from : to &

    That is what's in place there, just for some reason it doesn't copy that part over.:

    "value""<img src=\"data&colon;image/jpeg;base64,@{body('Get_file_content_using_path')}\" alt=\"IO logo\" />"

    That's taken from the 'Code View' tab.

    It's definitely that image element that is failing as when I run the tests, it comes out with that part all in red.

    Add a Compose - Create a formula base64(<>)... - Use the output of Compose in your email

    That's what my programming already looks like.............

    Where 'File Content' is the specific file (the image that's stored in the group SharePoint site) that I'm trying to insert into the email, below the signature/sign-off.

    @SamuelBastable Please decorate file content with base64()

    See\use the formula below -

    <img src="data:colon;image/jpeg;base64,@{base64(body('Get_file_content_using_path'))}" alt="IO logo" />

    And adding the 'Compose' element above doesn't change anything.........it produces the same outcome.

    Did you change the Formula?

    <img src="data:colon;image/jpeg;base64,@{base64(body('Get_file_content_using_path'))}" alt="IO logo" />
