JSON parsing error in PowerApps not Power Automate or Custom Connector test

Hello,

I have a custom connector working great when testing it while editing the custom connector, creating a flow with the connector  the action will return the object and everything is working as expected.

When using the connector in Power Apps, sending the exact same body as in flow and the test it will give an error.

Opening the Troubleshoot - Monitor it will first say that the body is empty:

{

 "duration":276.71,

 "size":2,

 "status":200,

 "headers": {

   "Cache-Control":"no-cache,no-store",

   "content-encoding":"gzip",

   "Content-Type":"application/json",

   "Date":"Mon, 07 Dec 2020 21:40:51 GMT",

   "strict-transport-security":"max-age=31536000;includeSubDomains",

   "vary":"Accept-Encoding",

   "x-content-type-options":"nosniff",

   "x-frame-options":"DENY",

   "x-ms-apihub-cached-response":true,

   "x-ms-request-id":"ca893e4c-a1f7-49e9-8e31-35e22ba1cb25",

   "x-ms-user-agent":"PowerApps/3.20113.29 (WebAuthoringTool;AppName=<NonCloudApp>)"

 },

 "body": [],

 "responseType":"json"

}

And then give me an error:

{

 "status":null,

 "duration":null,

 "dataSource":null,

 "responseSize":null,

 "controlName":null,

 "propertyName":null,

 "nodeId":null,

 "formulaData": {

   "script":"",

   "spanStart":null,

   "spanEnd":null

 },

 "data": {

   "info":"JSON parsing error, expected 'object' but got 'array'.",

   "issue":"This is more likely due to mismatch between metadata and actual data received.Pleaseensureyourmetadata and serverresponsematch."

 }

}

Any input is much appreciated!

    Depending on the Power Apps Canvas App Formula and also depending on Custom Connector configuration, it will send specific kind of underlying object via HTTP(S) request to the Custom Connector and this must be matching with your OpenAPI Swagger definition in the Custom Connector itself as well. Check if this matches, you may see this error because it is not matching somewhere. Check especially the particular Power Apps formula being used and in what specific way it is being used with what specific kind of input from Power Apps Canvas App.

    Also:

    1) What is the formula being used in your case in Canvas App (e.g. the formula containing YourCustomConnectorName.YourCustomActionName in it)

    and

    2) under which property of what kind of Control? (e.g. OnSelect of Button Control, etc.)

    and

    3) any other context about what specific input is being provided to Custom Connector from Canvas App would help as well.
