I am building a flow to process vehicle requests. I built a PowerApp to input the vehicle information and successfully insert a row into Dataverse. Part of the process allows the user to enter a freeform value make or model into a text field which also populates successfully into the table. The flow I build triggers off the insertion of the new record and generates a couple Teams messages.
I want to post a message in a support channel when either the Make or Model are "Unknown" stating "New Make FutureMake entered, New Model FutureModel entered" or "Existing Make Dodge entered, New Model Ball entered". This message will be used to alert the admins that a new make/model combination needs to be added in the source system.
I have created this logic using a number of Condition blocks checking for the values and branching accordingly. To simplify the flow, I am trying to get it to work in a single message body using.

I created the following 2 formulas:
if(equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/makefreeform'],'Unknown'),concat('New Make request: ',triggerOutputs()?['body/makefreeform']),concat('Existing Make: ',triggerOutputs()?['body/make']))
if(equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/modelfreeform'],'Unknown'),concat('New Model request: ',triggerOutputs()?['body/modelfreeform']),concat('Existing Model: ',triggerOutputs()?['body/model']))
I am trying to do the following logic
if Make = 'Unknown'
then concatenate "New Make Request:" with the value in the make freeform field
else concatenate "Existing Make Request:" with the value in the make lookup field
I have tried a number of different approaches, but it always takes the "false" branch of the if function and posts the "Existing" message.
Is there a way to do this in a message body formula, or do I need to break it out into different flow conditions depending on if one or both of the values are unknown.
