Text Search box hardcoded filter with common data connector

Hello,

I am using the common data service and connecting to an on premesis database I have.

As I can't connect to a view I am having to connect directly to the Table. I have a simple screen that allows a user to search the table with a reference number (Which works fine) however it is a bit slow and I think its because its a large table.

If I could limit the results somehow, e.g by date, so the list will only return data where a date on the record is greater than "X". The user won't see this and it doesn't matter as what they are entering will only be more recent data.

Any help would be great,

Thanks,

    Hi Stuaz,

You can use the Filter function in PowerApps to filter the records with the condition. Here is an example:

    Filter('[dbo].[DateTable]', DateField > DateValue("5/1/2017"))

There used to be a bug exist in filter SQL data by date, but it should be fixed by now. Please have a look at the below thread:

    Regards,

    Thanks for the reply.

In the Items formula I currently have the below

    SortByColumns(Search('[dbo].[new_serviceBase]', TextSearchBox1.Text, "new_CallNumber"), "new_CallDate", If(SortDescending1, Ascending, Descending))

is it in here where I add the filter criteria?
