Which accounts and licenses for the PL-500 skills?

Hi. Who can tell me exactly which accounts & licenses are necessary for the skills in scope for the PL-500 exam? I want to make sure I set up exactly the right kind of environment on day 1. The official MS training is slightly confusing because it claims I can get a free trial for Power Automate with Attended RPA... but when I go to that page, it seems to be either $15/mo. or $40/mo.

Does the PL-500 test on unattended skills? Do I need to pay for that so I have hands-on skills with it for the PL-500?

Hi @autonewb ,

Follow the guide to get free trial for 90 days, this trial gives premium connector access, attended RPA, and unattended RPA. After that you can determine to extend your trial or pay for a formal license.

Notice that configuring and running unattended desktop flows rank in PL-500 exam scope, so you also need to apply for unattended mode add-on.

Thanks so much, but this only seems to address maybe 2/3 of the scope.

There are a myriad of MS/Office 365 choices. Which one can I choose that will ensure I have everything I need for PL-5”” prep, and is there a free trial for that?

Further… I assume the PL-500 also requires hands-on experience with a variety of Azure DevOps features. Is there any connection I need to be aware of from Azure DevOps to M365, or do I simply sign up for a standalone Azure DevOps account? Is there a free trial for that?

Is there anything else I’m not thinking of?

Not sure what do you mean "a myriad of MS/Office 365 choices"...
There are two types of trial licenses you can apply for and either of them gives you full use rights on Power platform, including unattended RPA.

As Power Automate allows you to interact data with dozens of services (like SharePoint/Onedrive/Outlook/Azure and many third-party services), you may need to apply for their trial licenses for extra. That part doesn't include in Power platform trial license.

“MS/Office 365 choices” means exactly what it says, not Power Automate.

You touched on it in your final paragraph above. Assume that I do not have Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc…. there are MANY packages of those apps from family to business to E3, E5, etc… so I don’t know what the right choice is that will allow me to exercise all PL-500 skills.

DLP is one example topic. Does every MS/Office 365 package have that feature?

Hi @autonewb ,

I'm not expert on MS/Office 365 but my advice is to apply for the highest level of trial subscription for including all services you may use in future. For example, E3 subscription doesn't provide service for Power BI which may block your access to tests integrating Power BI and Model-driven app.,etc.
