Connectors suddenly not working anymore due to license problems

Hello everyone!

I used the trial Powerapp plan for a month, which expired a few weeks ago. Since I wanted to keep working on my app after the trial, I went ahead and bought a "Power Apps per app plan" for each user of my app (including myself, the developer).

However, I recently received the following email:

Today I logged in to use my app, but the MySQL connectors (which are premium connectors) have stopped working altogether for all the users. I'm a little bit lost now, because I thought buying the per app licenses for each user would have prevented that from happening.

Non-premium connectors such as OneDrive are working just fine, which leaves me to believe there must be something wrong with my licenses.

Does anyone know if I did something wrong and how I could solve this?

Thanks in advance

    To confirm, did you set up the app to use 'per app' licensing? Notably, the 'pass assignment' setting?

    Hi @timl

    Thanks for the answer. Yes, that setting is currently enabled in my app.

    Hi @linx9

    I'm not sure of the answer unfortunately. It might be worth raising a support ticket by clicking the 'Create support ticket' button on the following page, as Microsoft will be able to see the full details of your account.

    @Pstork1 understands licensing very well, so he might have a better clue as to what the answer is.

    Ok, thanks for the help anyway!

    I have tried submitting a support ticket, but I get the following message when entering the page:

    It looks like the system isn't recognizing my licenses for some reason, and therefore I'm not eligible for support, even though I purchased multiple licenses

    It's weird because in my admin panel, I can see the licenses listed correctly:

    Do you see the per app licenses in the environment where the app is?  This kind of issue is usually caused by some problem with assigning the per app licenses to the app in the correct environment or by having the licenses claimed for other apps in the same environment.  Go to the Power Platform Admin Center > Resources> Capacity > Add-ons tab in the environment where you've shared the app to see if there are per app licenses available.

    Hi @Pstork1

    Thanks for the reply.

    I have checked and all the licenses are currently assigned to the environment where my app is located:

    I only have this environment created, and there's only one app developed inside this environment. So I don't think , it would be possible that the licenses got mistakenly assigned to another app/environment, right?

    The fact that it still shows 9 app passes would suggest that they aren't being assigned when people try to use the app that is shared with them.  Did you share the app before or after you added the app passes to the environment?

    Please go back through the steps in this article and verify that each has been completed in order.

    @Pstork1

    Thanks for the reply.

    I went through the steps again, but unfortunately the connectors are still not working.

    I made sure all the 9 licenses are allocated to the correct environment and that the app is set up to use the per app plans. I then went ahead and deleted all users from my app and shared the app with them again. The "Capacity" screen still shows 9 App passes for the environment.

    Is there anything else I can do to try to solve this?

    The one last step would be to have the user's you have shared the app with try to open and run the app.  That is the point at which they actually grab the license from the pool that you added to the environment.  From a licensing standpoint you are legally committed when you share the app, but the actual assignment of the license happens when the app is used by a user who doesn't have a per user license.

    That is of course to run the app.  Technically, you don't need any license to edit an app, although it will often prompt for a trial when using a premium connector.

    @Pstork1

    I see, thanks for the information.

    Unfortunately trying to run the app with the users also did not work.
