Listing SharePoint Documents in Word Template of Entity

Hello,

Having an issue with a PDF export of a model driven application I'm building. I can't figure out how to list SharePoint document attached in PowerApps in a word template using the XML Mapping Pane. I can include the related SharePointDocuments table but this does not return any data.

Is that just not possible? The goal is to show all the attachments for an Opportunity in a PDF summary.

Hi @fhquijan ,

As far as I know this is not possible with Word Templates. Please look at Power Automate to accomplish what you are trying to do...

Hello @fhquijan,

As per Out of the Box Behavior Populating SharePoint Documents Directly in Template is not possible in DataVerse.

But if we have attachment in Model Driven apps like Image Field or Attachments we can show the same in Template.

Thank you both! I appreciate your suggestions but its just not appropriate for the use case we're trying to accomplish. Really frustrating that Microsoft wouldn't consider this need as part of their SharePoint integration.

Overall I have found the Word Template functionality pretty weak overall and have migrated to utilizing other approaches in Power Automate to accomplish my needs with much more capabilities possible. Sorry this didn't help in this case for your situation.

Yeah as we grow our footprint in model-driven apps, we're learning multiple limitations and what work arounds are needed. The template really got us 99% of the way there, just this last piece that sadly won't work. Appreciate your help though Drew!
