Text Edit in a Editor popup

Hi all,

I resized a form and lost for a multiline field the possibility to edit the content of the field in a popup.

At the end of the label I had a pen icon and by clicking on it, the text appeared in a popup.

How to recreate this ?

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure how to do it with a popup, but you could always return to a previous version of your app? Where it's still there

    Hmm... Okay well,

    You'll want to:

    • Get a Textbox1 and set the Mode to Multiline and set the DisplayMode to View then set the Default value to TextBox2.Text
    • Add a Pen icon next to it
    • Set the OnSelect of the pen to UpdateContext({LocShowEdit:true});
    • Get a Second textbox called TextBox2
    • Set the Mode to Multiline and the Displaymode to Edit
    • Set the Visible property to LocShowEdit
    • Add a Save Button and set the OnSelect to UpdateContext({LocShowEdit:false}); and the Visible property to LocShowEdit
    • You could also add little background to make it look pretty with the visible property as LocShowEdit also

    Hi,

this is not exactly what I expected.

This is what I would like https://youtu.be/DEsPs9cHcNA at 4:45, the DogNotesFancy Control which open a new window by clicking on the pen.

Yeah I'm not sure that's possible in powerapps... I believe the closest you can come is what I've walked you through
