Hi,

I am trying to build a portal that would have users coming from multiple organizations.

I need users of the same organization to be able to work on the same records.

Sort of like Business Unit permissions on a Model-Driven app.

How would that work on Power Pages?

In your Web Roles you use Table Permissions with a scope of Account (or Parental), and then either populate an Account lookup on child records or use Table Permissions with scope = Parental (parental basically means if the user has access to the Parent record they get access to the Child record the parental scope is set on, so you do not need to populate Account lookups down multiple levels of child records)

So when a user registers, they get added to the Contact table. I have 2 questions based on your last reply:
1. Are you saying that their organization also gets added into the Account table automatically?
2. And if given the Account (or Parental) Web Role, many contacts from the same account will be able to view the same records.
Are those 2 statements correct?

Hi @mkpk ,

As mentioned by @Fubar you need to configure the table permissions to Account.
As answer for your questions:
1- No, the account will not be created automatically automatically but you need to trigger any real time plugin, custom activity inside work flow or power automate as web- hook on the creation of the contact to check the domain of that contact and search for its organisation (account) if exist then associate this contact to it and if not then create it and associate the contact to it.
2- Yes, any contact under this organisation or account will be able to see all records associated to that account.
