Update excel column with link to sharepoint element

Hey ho dear friends,

at the moment I am working on a flow that updates an excel file (stored in sharepoint library). The flow updates specific rows if a condition is true (ID matching). What I am trying at the moment is to add a column that links to the corresponding sharepoint ListItem. I like to display a clickable hyperlink in the excel file in the column as "LinkToItem" and if a user klicks the link the item should be opened.

I am using a variable named "LinkToElement" which I am first initialise and then in a loop I am setting this variable with the "link to item" from sharepoint.

next I am using "update a row" excel business to update several fields and the mentioned column in the excel file. I am using the following expression to create a formular in excel to display the url as a clickable link for the users:

EXPRESSION:

concat('=HYPERLINK("', variables('varLinkZumElement'), '", "LinkToItem")')

The result is, that in excel there is the whole expression and not only the klickable text "LinkToItem" as I wished it to.

example:

=HYPERLINK("https://customer.sharepoint.com/sites/Websitecollection1/_layouts/15/listform.aspx?PageType=4&ListId=f505a3d8%2D957d%2D4c54%2Da417%2D744ed2fcf171&ID=11&ContentTypeID=0x0100FF807D0A12340F498ADAEA02C2881BD5005DEF0D49958BDD40B33C643AAE477BA9", "LinkToItem")

WHAT THE HECK AM I DOING WRONG?

Cheers Andre

    Hi @Andre-Radtke

I tried this expression and it worked fine

    Nived_Nambiar_0-1719678046744.png

    concat('=HYPERLINK("',triggerOutputs()?['body/{Link}'],'","Link to item")')

Here i have tested it and it worked fine for me- But to make simmilar to your condition- i just change the format of cell to text type and add this hyperlink formula via power automate flow- there i could see expression which i have written in the flow. So just check whether column/cell format is text- if yes try converting to General and see whether that works !

    Hi,

I cannot use the trigger output because I need to iterate through several items from an array.

    I cannot use your formular.....

    Hi @Andre-Radtke

Then change the expression like this -

    concat('=HYPERLINK("',items('Apply_to_each')?['{Link}'],'","Link to item")')

Here i assume that Apply to each is the loop name

Thank you so much for your help and the new formular.

I am very sorry to say that, but your formular is not working. He is still entering the whole url like this:

Can I give more context so that it is easier to give advise? 😄

I figured out something strange what might be the reason that the format in the excel is not working properly. The first two entries in the excel seems to be fine the next is like I showed in my screenshot.... I have the solution now.

THE EXCEL HAS BEEN FORMATTED WRONG BY A COLLEAGUE 😄

my Formular I am using right now ist as follows:

    concat('=HYPERLINK("', variables('varLinkZumElement'), '", "Link to SharePoint")')
