Portal Custom Script - Where to find?

Hello

I have a portal web page which has a web form with 4 web form steps. In one of the web form step, some fields are hidden in portal side (the related CRM entity's tab has the fields set to 'visible by default'). I believe this is either JS or liquid template. This code was written by someone who is not available currently. I am trying to locate the related code but unfortunately I cannot locate it.

I have checked the web form step record and checked in 'Form Options' there is no code there. Could you advise me when can I locate the code related please?

Thanks

Vik

As per the locations the previous posters suggested, but it also depends on how well they know the Portal as to if they used one of the areas provided or just made something that works, in the latter case :

    • they could also hide it in the Web Template (behind the Page Template attached to the Web Page that has the Web Form lookup); or
    • on the Web Page (localised version) there is also an Advanced tab that has a spot for custom JavaScript; or
    • if was done really badly, you could also find a Web File with the JS file attached and it could run on every page looking for what to hide (but this would be really bad on the developers part).

    Also the Web Page

    Hi @arjunmusuvathy ,

Probably, the only place where you missed is:

    1.  Once you are in the web form > Web form steps

    2. Click Edit > And then > Under Form Options > Scroll down > until you see the "Custom JavaScript" .

    Hope it helps.

Hi, the most common place to add the JS in that scenario would be the Web Form Step, but looks like you already checked that. Other possible places:

    • Web Page - make sure to check under the content page and not root page
    • See if the Web Page is pointing to a custom Page Template / Web Template, if it is go to the Web Template as it could be there as well
