Flow triggered when a new member is added to any Office 365 Group

Often there are multiple owners of Office 365 Groups, so when one owner adds or removes members, the other owners won't know.

There is a "When a group member is added or removed" trigger already, but it requires you choose specific group, while I have many groups with multiple owners that would like emails upon a member being added/removed. I would like to only have to build one flow to handle all the groups in O365. Ideally the information about which group was edited could be passed down from the trigger into the flow as a parameter, so that the correct owners can be notified.

Is there a way to have a flow that is triggered when a member is added or removed from any group? Or some similar workaround?

    Hi @jhou ,

You may utilize this trigger, but since it can only specify one group, you'll need to create a separate flow for each group.

If you have access to advanced IT resources, you might consider an event-driven architecture where you capture group membership changes in real-time using Azure Event Grid or a similar service.

But if you want a simple solution, this is what I would do.

Use Microsoft Graph API to monitor changes across all groups. You can set up a flow that periodically checks for changes in group membership and then triggers notifications accordingly.

    https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/groups

You could test this endpoint using the Graph Explorer

Graph Explorer | Try Microsoft Graph APIs - Microsoft Graph
