Populating Password in application

I am creating a desktop flow which launches an application on windows 10 and enters the username and password and then clicks on sign in.

I 've tried using the recorder and also manually creating UI's but every time the flow enters the password in the username box. I am using the "Populate Text Field in Window" action and then selecting the UI for the password field.

Any one can suggest how i can get this to work?

What type of error are you getting with your current selector? Are you able to post a screenshot of the error and your ui element. Sometimes the UI selectors from the recorder need to be tweaked to be more dynamic. For example, when I record or select a UI element, sometimes the window name with use name gets saved in the window portion of the selector and causes the selector to fail on different machines or users.

After it populates Email with "Populate text field on web page" do this:

Send Keys: {Tab}
Send Keys: %Password%

so i don't get any errors, it first populates the username in the email box. Then overwrites the username box with the password. However when i create a UI or record it identifies them as different names. Below is what they are named. Even when i manually select these and run the flow it keeps doing the same thing

actually its not a webpage its an application installed on windows. I have also tried the send keys method but behavior is the same.

My guess is you are still trying to write password to the password UI. What I am saying is skip the password UI.

use the same flow up to entering the email, then

send keys {Tab}
then send keys with your password (which should be an input variable, so you can mark it as sensitive).

so, it’s never trying to go to the UI for the password field, it’s the same as you clicking on the email field, entering your email, pressing the tab key, and entering your password.
