Use HTTP action to make call to local webserver

I want to let Power Automate make an HTTP request to a local Flask web server I built. This server is available at

http://127.0.0.1:5000/

I use the HTTP action for this (with method = GET). However, when running the workflow, I get the following error in Power Automate:

Action 'HTTP' failed. The provided 'Http' action URI 'http://127.0.0.1:5000/' is not valid. The URI must be a well formed absolute URI not referencing local host or UNC path.

Does this mean I cannot test my implementation with a local web server (as I did with UiPath)?

You are correct. You can not use the local host address directly. Your URI should resolve using a public DNS.

If you want to use localhost try setting up a custom connector with on prem data gateway.
