This trial environment can't be converted to production because your org (tenant) needs at least 1 GB of database capacity

hi,

got this error for my trial environment which I could extend another 30 days. Now the time is up to convert to production.

Up to now I worked with development environments and this one trial environment so I don't have bought any license yet.

What's the best way to do now?

I would prefer Power Apps for user license for 5€ per month but MS now has new prices and Power Apps Premium is about 20€ per user per month.🤥

First I want to save my trial environment, and the licensing price is to be negotiated with my customer.🤔

thx

    hi again,

first of all I found the correct 5$-subscription in a pdf document called "Power Platform Licensing Guide".
The Power Apps Premium is presented prominent for 20$ per user/month but the 5$ per user/month still exists which is sufficient for my needs.

    How to add the subscription?
Go to Microsoft 365 admin center, choose Marketplace - All products - and filter with the string "per app".
Scroll down a little bit and here it is called
Power Apps per app plan (1 app or website)
    and buy it
After buying you get an email with details.

Next step: look at Power Platform admin center (PPAC) - Capacity Summary, scroll down and find Add-ons, App passes are still 0 of 1 assigned.
Go to Managed in header and you can change App passes from 0 to 1.

Now in PPAC you mark your environment which is still type "Trial" and click now "Convert to production"
It takes less than 1 hour and the type will change to production. Thats it.
And you see that your database now has a capacity of 5 GB.

Last step: you can assign the license to a user, i.e. me as sysadmin gets the license

Conclusion: the trial environment is successfully converted to production and all your dataverse data and your Power App is fine.

    😁
