Hi Power Users,

I'm still learning power apps, I'm trying to create an app for forecasting and getting issues. Its a simple app. I have a filter that contains products, month and forecast value.

I have created the app by using gallery. My table looks like below. The data is stored in SQL.

IDProductMonthForecast
1AJan0
2BJan0
3CJan0
4AFeb0
5BFeb0
6CMarch0

I have created labels for Product and Month and insert box for Forecast. The default value for Forecast is 0 and when i entered the Forecast value in APP then it should update in SQL table.

Please help.

Thanks

Put this code in the OnChange property of the Text Input.

    Patch(your_datasource_name, ThisItem, {Forecast: Value(TextInput1.Text)})

Then use this code in the Default property of the Text Input.

    ThisItem.Forecast

    @mdevaney

Thanks for reply. I have used same patch function but getting error as PATCH some invalid arguments. The data source is read only so the PATCH can not write. I have checked the Data source and i have admin access to the server and database.

    Thanks

SQL views are read-only in PowerApps.  Are you using a SQL view?

Otherwise, the permissions issue would have to be handled on your end.

Its not the View its Table only.

Sorry, I can't help much on the database permissions side of things.  You'll have to speak with your administrator.
