I have a CRM-like webbapp. I want the users to be able to chat about contact’s data in a contact gui panel. Is there a way to pass in the contact id to the copilot when the web app instantiate it on the contact panel? Otherwise the bot that lives in the panel of a specific contact have to always start by asking for contact id

Hello,

when you're integrating the chatbot via iframe, there's no option to pass any input parameters to the chatbot. If you need extended customizations like that, then I'd suggest you to create a chatbot by using Azure AI Foundry (former Azure AI Studio) with your own deployment and prepare the chat widget from scratch. That way you'd be able to send the contact id to the model before starting the conversation - in the system message for example.

When your agent is deployed on your custom website, we can pass context variables from your webpage to the agent.
