Create Item when Form Response is Collected Not Working

We recently began using a flow that is built on an individual submitting a form. After the form is submitted, the user profile is collected and the email is matched against a recipient list loaded with individuals from the global address book. The flow is recognizing select individuals, but not all, and we can't seem to figure out what the issue is.

There is a condition comparing the "Mail" collected from the user profile against the "Provider email" from the recipient list. Sometimes it works, someties it does.

    HI @klst227

Can you share more information on this one? How are you comparing the email addresses? Can you post a screenshot of the flow? That will help us better understand the issue and assist you with this.

Here is a screenshot of the flow. The responses are collected and condition compares the mail from the user profile to the recipient list

    @klst227

Can you please share what is the datatype of the "Provider.." column of your sp list? and the full name of this column?

That is "Provider Email". We have a separate sharepoint list where we have individuals loaded in from our global addressbook. The field is looking at the contact card and finding the email associated with it, then comparing it to "mail" on the other side of the condition

The actual column name is "Provider", but it is a person/group field, so they select an individual from the address book

    Hi @klst227 ,

Do you mean that the Condition sometimes works, sometimes not?

When it doesn’t work, what’s the return result of action Get user profile?

Please make sure the returned email of Get user profile has the exact same value in the recipient list.

    Best regards,

    Mabel

    Hi @klst227

Is this a required field? Is there a possibility that this field is empty sometimes? Can you check for any capital letters in any of your email addresses? There might be an account coming in the format 'Test User, <testuser@xyz.com>' and maybe we are just checking for 'testuser@xyz.com'.

Can you please have a look at these? You can try checking the output of the flow actions when the issue is occuring to see what data is coming and the flow is behaving that way.

    Hope this Helps!

Yes, sometimes the condition works, and recognizes that the user profile of the person who submitted the form matches the name of a "provider" on a separate sharepoint list, and collects the correct information. Other times (more often than not), it does not recognize that the user profiles are identical, and will not load any of the necessary information.

The "get user profile" step always collects the information, but when it comes to the condition, it will say that there is no match, and goes on the "no" side, where we do not have anything set up. This is built this way in order to avoid people using the form and loading things into the sharepoint when they are not an assigned user.

The emails are the same because the field they are pulling from are "person/group" fields that are tied to the global address book.

It is not empty because when an individual fills out the form, it automatically collects the user ID in which they are signed into. It is not a field that they have to fill in.

I can see the outputs of the "get user profile" section, but when it comes to the condition, it does not show me any outputs.

In Get Items ,use filter query to directly load the profiles who's email matches with the record and give a try because it reduces the time complexity and you get the results accurately.
