Is there a way that my collection is saved upon closing powerapps?

I am trying to store data within powerapps without merging an excel file. Is there a way to save my collections in powerapps, or will they always be deleted?

Powerapps is just an interface.  If you want information to be saved between sessions, you'll need to connect to some sort of storage.

Excel is an option.  You might also consider trying to use a CDS (Common Data Service) connection/table instead.

Basically - you'll need to describe the state that your gallery is in at the end of a session and have that description saved somewhere.  When your application loads, it needs to retrieve the current state from the data source.  So, for instance, if your gallery information is stored in a table - you could save this as a table in CDS.  Then load the CDS table when the app loads.

    Hi @Anonymous

If you want to save a collection onto the local device, you can use the SaveData/LoadData functions.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/functions/function-savedata-loaddata

These functions work on a per user basis. Only the user that saves a collection can re-load the data with the LoadData function.

@Anonymous, good point!  I keep forgetting about that because I've never used it before....

    Hi @NEPatton,

Here is a doc on how to use functions SavaData and LoadData to store data in the local cache, hope it could be your reference as well:
