When a combo box value is changed on a form and submitted, I want to set another field to null. This is a Power App connected to a SharePoint list. I tried using the patch function in the "OnChange" property of the combo box value but it doesn't seem to work.
For example: I have two fields, field A and field B in a SharePoint list. Field A is connected to a combo box in a Power App form. I want to set field B to null when field A is changed and submitted via the form. Any ideas?
@galexander80 If you want take some action when a form is submitted successfully, it is good to place that code in the OnSuccess property of the Form.
Because you want to compare the old and new values of Field A, when the Form initially loads, store the old value in a context variable and then just before submitting the Form store the new value also in another context variable.
In the OnSuccess property of the Form, compare the old and new values, and if they have changed, do an UpdateIf to update Field B like this,
UpdateIf(yourPList, self.LastSubmit, {FieldB:Blank()})
