Search not bringing back all results.

Hello.

I have data from a SPO list displayed as a Data Table. There are approx 400 items in the SPO List

I have a text box called txt_Search which should search the data table.

Here is my code to search

Sort(
Search(
'Datasource',
txt_WorkspaceSearch.Text,
"{Name}",
"Description"
),
Name,
Ascending
)

Search works Ok until i noticed that some results were not appearing, for e.g. i can scroll through the datatable and see a value called 'APP-Sales-Laptop'.. But when i try and search for APP-Sales-Laptop,  search brings back 0 results.

I am getting a warning on the datatable saying "The search part of the formulae may not work correctly for large data sets'

In File Settings, my data row limit is set to 2000.

Does anyone know what the issue here is?

    Sort(
    Search(
    'Datasource',
    txt_WorkspaceSearch.Text,
    "Name",
    "Description"
    ),
    Name,
    Ascending
    )

    Other than the angular bracket around the name column i don't see any problem in your code. You can ignore delegation.

    Try this:

    If(
    IsBlank(txt_WorkspaceSearch.Text),
    Sort('DataSource',Name, Ascending)
    ,
    Search(Filter(Sort('DataSource',Name, Ascending), TextInput1.Text,"Name")
    )

    Hi @Vstar19 ,

    What you are getting is a delegation warning. If you are not expecting values above 2000 in the list you can try below code.

    AppStart: ClearCollect(colDataTable,'Datasource');

    Sort(
    Search(
    colDataTable,
    txt_WorkspaceSearch.Text,
    "Name",
    "Description"
    ),
    Name,
    Ascending
    )

    Sometimes the search does not work great when it detects - in the text for this you can use Startswith function instead of Search.
