I already made some modeldriven apps but am now experiencing a totally new question:

There is a dataverse with quite complex relations. It's all built with custom tables.

table [house] realtes 1:n to [apartment] which relates 1:n [person]

When the user opens the form of [house], he wants to see all [person] from that [house] item.

I know the feature, to show related items as a component within a form. But this is limited to the next related table.

Any ideas?

Hi everyone, here is some update to my research:

My database design comes from old MS Access. So the design was some n:m relation stuff, normalized with tables between those connections.

When I simply ignore this old normalization stuff, and simply build an n:m connection, than I get 2 effects:

- The sub-related table now is directly related and the items can be accessed with sub-grids or sub-forms

- Dataverse automatically creates a connection table in the background for normalization.

This will solve most of my relations.

But what could be a solution, if I need another field related to this relation? For example:

table [apartment] n:m [person]

and I need a field for how much percentage each person pays for the rent?
