Hello,

I have 3 Custom Portals in DEV Environment. I'm using Configuration Migration Tool for migrate the portals. But, this process migrate my all portal records/changes from DEV to PROD.

But my problem is, I want to move only one portal from DEV env to PROD env.

How can I do this? Please guide.

    Hey @hardikv

If you are having multiple portals in the same environment. Then using the configuration migration tool as you stated "it will migrate all your website records".

As you can see from the screenshot. Website table holds two records i.e. two portals

The simple way I would think is to use Portal Records Mover from XRM Toolbox and choose website from the dropdown. Screenshot below.

Note: You can also utilise the red highlighted area for the clever move.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi @hardikv ,

like @ragavanrajan says, XRMToolbox is a good fit for that. You could do it with individual Filters in confmig as well, but that is very clumsy as you had to add the filter to each and every entity by hand,

May be, the client tool ( https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/portals/power-apps-cli-tutorial ) is also a good fit for that. We have good experiences with that.

But i have to admit: we used confmig for the last go live as we used it all the time in the project and i did not want to change horses. For new projects, we go with the client tool.

And may be hint: its not nice, but why bother? May be it does not harnm you, that there are two dead portals in the target. We use this intentionally sometimes to switch between them in demo systems for example.

    Hope this helps,

      Christian
