Filtering a gallery showing a collection using combo boxes

Hello.

This is something that I'll need to provide screenshots for, but at this point I'm not sure what you'll need to see. I'm creating an editable grid in my powerapp. It uses a collection, as advised by Reza in this video, which I can then edit and reupload to the sharepoint List.

My problem is that I need to filter down what shows in the grid using the two combo boxes at the top. How do I do this? Do I point the combo boxes at the sharepoint List for the data or to the collection?

I'm not sure what to write to filter it. Below is the filter used on a similar situation - but this didn't involved combo boxes.

SortByColumns(If(And(IsBlank(ComboBox2.Selected),IsBlank(ComboBox3.Selected)),'Maintenance handover details',
If(IsBlank(ComboBox2.Selected),Filter('Maintenance handover details',Presentation in ComboBox3.Selected.Presentation),
If(IsBlank(ComboBox3.Selected),Filter('Maintenance handover details','Maintenance modules' in ComboBox2.Selected.'Maintenance modules'),Filter('Maintenance handover details','Maintenance modules' in ComboBox2.Selected.'Maintenance modules',Presentation in ComboBox3.Selected.Presentation)))),"Title",Ascending)

Thanks,

    Hi @Mojpage ,

    Assuming these are Single select combo boxes querying a Text field, you can condense the code to this

    SortByColumns(
     Filter(
     'Maintenance handover details',
     {
     Len(ComboBox2.Selected.'Maintenance modules') = 0 ||
     'Maintenance modules' = ComboBox2.Selected.'Maintenance modules'
     ) &&
     (
     Len(ComboBox3.Selected.Presentation) = 0 ||
     Presentation = ComboBox3.Selected.Presentation
     )
     )
    )

    If they are multi-select and/or you are querying a multi-select column, it may get a bit more complex
