I am using Power Apps to customize a Sharepoint list. After the first form was filled out, all subsequent forms used the text form the first form in all forms going forward. So someone entered in a text box "Add new source table to view" and all subsSharepoint list populating with old information

I am using Power Apps to customize a Sharepoint list. After the first form was filled out, all subsequent forms used the text form the first form in all forms going forward.

 

So someone entered in a text box "Add new source table to view" and all subsequent forms now have "<div class="ExternalClass7450EBBB555749CE887E290F1211C65D">Add new source table to view. </div" 

 

I would like the text box to just have the current text or be blank. The default is set to Parent.default  and the Parent.default=<div class="ExternalClass7450EBBB555749CE887E290F1211C65D">Add new source table to view. </div

    So, your text column in SharePoint is defined as a Enhanced Rich text columns.

    You can:

    1) Change the column definition in SharePoint to Plain Text

    2) Since this appears to be in an EditForm, you can change the control type (from the Edit Fields link in the properties) to a "Edit rich text" control.

    3) Change the Text property of the TextInput control in your form to : PlainText(Parent.Default)

        Note, this will break the "Unsaved" feature of the EditForm
